In lieu of a normal post, I'll just give you this lovely montage of Joey eating Cheez-its while the pins look on hungrily.

The fun fact?  We were watching the Nascar Cheez-It 355 while this was occurring.

No Soliciting.

It's that time of year where our home is continuously threatened by the little girl on the bicycle, or the cat across the street, or the neighbor mowing his lawn.  Now that the weather is nicer and everyone is spending time outside, the Min Pins feel they must keep watch out the front door in case (and God forbid) a door-to-door salesman shows up on the front porch.  It is actually quite humorous to watch these people leap backwards in fear as the dogs descend on the foyer, howling and screaming like banshees.... then I just look out the window, make eye contact with the person outside, shrug, and walk away.

Chalk this up to "things you don't really care about", however I do and this is my space.

Every day I find it cute and interesting to come home from work and see what kind of architectural marvels my Min Pins have created with the blankets. 

Yes, I can actually HEAR you rolling your eyes. 

The other day, I came home and noticed 3 different structures within the comforter and blanket, so I decided to document the intelligence of my canines.

Just your basic, average Pin Cave. (This one has collapsed a little bit.)

I thought it looked like an arm chair.

Storm Chasers

Early this morning, a line of thunderstorms rolled in.  My alarm hadn't gone off yet, so I opened up the curtains and laid back down to watch the storm.  Hearing the curtains open, they suddenly emerged from beneath the covers.  I love how they aren't afraid of the thunder at all.  They are so curious about it.

I think I need to get one of those crazy cat lady perches for them to sit on so they can see out the window...

Lovefest 365

For your Valentine's Day 2013, I've decided to share a love fest that happens every day of the year.

No, no, no. It's not what you are thinking.  I'm talking about the love between a man and his Min Pin.

Normally when this happens, Joey is laying in bed with no shirt on and it would be pretty awkward for me to post half naked pictures of my husband on the internet.  But last night, he was covered appropriately when the loving began, so I started snapping away.

I'm pretty sure if Doc could share his Dad's skin, he would.

It's been SUCH A LONG TIME since we've done PPOTD and I know you are starved for pictures of my cute little babies.

Here they are, basking in front of the space heater at the in-laws' last night during the Super Bowl.  (Doc is sporting his Cowboys jersey because he refused to cheer for anyone else.)

Dog Shaming

So I'm hoping you have all heard of http://dog-shaming.com/ by now.  It's a pretty amazing website.  I always say I'm going to take a pic of Doc or Chloe next time they do something bad and send it in.  But in the heat of the moment, I can never find any paper/markers, and by the time I do, he/she has forgotten what they have done and moved on/ran away.

So, last weekend we had a little incident.

Around 5pm Saturday, my sister got a few text messages from me that read as follows:

Me: Chloe has something to tell you.

Me: It's about your sweatpants.

Me: Picture-->

Me: They are now crotchless.

I was gone for legit 5 MINUTES and this is what happened.  I didn't have time to grab a marker/piece of paper, but I was sure to document it by making her wear the crotchless-pants-of-shame.

Bad dog.

Oh HAAAY girrl!

Treats

So last week we were finally able to actually go OUT for date night, which is a rare treat.  We headed over to the Potomac Town Center, which is still a work in progress but is going to be awesome once completed.  We shared some shrimp fajitas and had margaritas at Uncle Julios, then we decided to walk around the town center to see what was there.  I also wanted to sample the new fro yo place (oh yes, I said it).

One of the places we stopped was a new store called Unleashed, by PETCO.  It's basically a smaller version of Petco, from what I could figure out.  They had a TON of cute Halloween costumes, but we already have plans for our little family... muhaha.

We checked out all the little toys and treats, and finally decided upon some little bouncy balls.  As we approached the register, there they were.

Deer Antlers.

For dogs?? Oh yes, the woman behind the counter told us. Her little westie absolutely LOVES them.  Being the complete skeptical, overprotective dog-mom, I immediately nixed the idea because there was no way that is healthy!!

It took some convincing, but Joey finally got me to say yes to a small, split antler for each pin.

When we got them home, it was like Christmas.  They had never seen them before, but they knew it was something special.  Chloe was a little freaked out by it, but she took it upstairs to bury it.  Doc wouldn't put it down for the rest of the night.

I'm still only allowing them to have them under supervision, but these little treats were a BIG hit!!!

I love it when they snuggle.

So the other night I was talking about Moms that post a zillion pictures of their baby, just laying there making different faces.  Or in some cases the same face.

I was vowing to never be that Mom and my husband just scoffed at me and told me to look at my own blog.

I mean, I guess he has a point....

Cause how many pin pics have you seen that look just like this?

So FINE. Maybe I already am THAT Mom.

But they are just sooooooooo cute!!!
